This camera feature is GENIUS

Introduction

Lumix Rear Screen

I will give the Lumix a bonus point for the fact that the rear screen auto-dims. On my Canon, I have to manually adjust the brightness if I want it to be brighter or darker. With the Lumix, I found that if I’m pointing at a bright subject, the whole rear screen brightens up. If I’m looking at something in the dark or I cover the lens with my hand, the screen will go dark. I’m assuming that’s attached to the metering modes.

Qmenu Setup for Low Light Conditions

If you’re shooting in super low light conditions, I’ve actually got my Qmenu set up with the red night mode. You can put your camera in a kind of like an astro nighttime shooting mode, so the whole interface and the viewfinder goes red. This way, if you’re shooting, you don’t disrupt your night vision. Genius!
